      The UDS-P does not have a built-in water supply. How do I provide water for cooling and irrigation?
      The UDS-P is designed to connect to an external water source. The most common and recommended option is to connect it directly to your dental unit's (dental chair) existing water supply system. This provides a steady and regulated water flow for effective cooling and rinsing during scaling procedures.
      How do I connect the scaler to my dental chair's water supply?
      To connect the UDS-P to your dental chair's water supply, use a dedicated Woodpecker air-water quick connector or a 3-way valve for proper attachment, then connect the included silicone water tubing to the chair's external water port or foot pedal air/water source, ensuring the supply pressure is maintained between 0.01 MPa and 0.5 MPa (1–5 bar) to guarantee optimal water output and spray atomization; pressures outside this range may impair performance.
      What if my clinic setup makes it inconvenient to connect to the dental chair's internal water line?
      You can use Auto Water Supply System such as Woodpecker AT-1. However if you don't have the item above, you can prepare a 1000 mL water reservoir bottle and hang it at a height above the scaler. Gravity will create natural water pressure; simply connect the silicone tubing from the bottle to the scaler. This is a simple and effective backup solution for clinics without direct chair-side water access.
      What type of water should I use with the UDS-P?
      We strongly recommend using pure water or softened water for the external water source. This helps prevent mineral buildup and scaling inside the handpiece and tubing; extend the service life of the internal components; maintain consistent performance over time.
